Frequently asked questions:

Q:  Why do I need a lawyer to buy a home?

A:  Purchasing a home is the biggest expense most people undertake.  You want to be sure you understand your rights and obligations from the very beginning.  It doesn't take long to make a call and engage the services of an attorney to represent your interests.

Q:  How much will it cost to have a lawyer represent me to sell or buy a home?

A:  Our office has reasonable flat rate fees for buyers and for sellers of a home.  Considering the financial responsibility homeownership represents, a one time flat fee to an attorney is well worth the cost.

Q:  At what point in the buying process should I engage the services of a lawyer?

A:  Ideally, you should contact us before you sign an offer to purchase.  An Offer is legally binding and should be understood before it is made.   If you have already made an offer to purchase a property, contact us as soon afterward as you can.

Q: How much will it cost for you to represent me in a typical seller or buyer transaction?

A: Although every transaction is different, I generally prefer a flat fee structure.  This will range from $750 to $950 depending on the transaction.  Please call me so I can give you a more accurate estimate of my fees to represent you.
